The brief

Building the right foundation for an off-road equipment brand.

OK Expedition is a Canadian manufacturer of aluminum skid plates and vehicle protection systems for Toyota, Lexus and selected Chevrolet trucks and SUVs.

Its products are designed for vehicles such as the Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra, Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, Lexus GX and Chevrolet Colorado. We developed a Shopify storefront that makes it easier for owners to shop by vehicle, confirm compatibility and understand what each protection component covers.

The challenge

What needed improving in the shopping journey.

Off-road protection products require careful fitment. Customers must choose the correct vehicle, model year and component before completing their purchase.

01

Vehicle Compatibility

Customers needed a clear way to find skid plates designed for their exact vehicle generation and model year.

02

Technical Information

Materials, protected components, included hardware, installation requirements and vehicle compatibility needed to be clearly explained.

03

Mobile Usability

The store needed to remain easy to navigate for customers researching products from the garage, workshop or trail.
